The Cotswolds

Chipping Campden

Chipping Campden is situated on the B4035 not far from Shipston-on-Stour. This is a very popular destination for holiday makers. There is a wealth of history in what can only be described as one of the finest towns in the Cotswolds. The 14th century church of St. James is an amazing sight with it's twelve pinnacles for the Twelve Apostles. There are also many other historic buildings to visit. Amazingly, there are silversmiths still at work in the town and seeing them is like taking a step back in history. Chipping Campden would be an ideal place to stay as the town itself would take a long time to explore thoroughly. There are many fine hotels and restaurants in Chipping Campden. The surrounding countryside is also an area of natural beauty.
