Cricklade on the River Thames, is a 9th century Saxon town situated on the A4040. The town has many fine 17th and 18th century houses and the parish church, with amazing Norman features including a cathedral-like turreted tower, really is a magnificent sight to behold. The town also offers a museum and many fine shops, pubs and restaurants.
