Donnington |
|
In 1646 Lord Astley and his Royalist Army lost the final battle of the English Civil War at Donnington. It is now just a sleepy little Hamlet with spectacular views across the Evenlode Valley. Not far outside Donnington is a small brewery supplying the local inns in the area. The history of this hamlet makes it well worth a visit. |
