The Cotswolds

Great Barrington

You will find Barrington Park on the western edge of the village, built for Earl Talbot in 1736. The Palladian house overlooks the River Windrush and the parklands are dotted with some wonderful old summer houses and follies. The Church is a must to visit and contains two excellent memorials with a tremendous amount of history attached to them. The village has a very popular pub called the Fox, with a reputation for good food and ale. It is situated on the river and is an ideal spot in the summer months with its views across the countryside. Great Barrington is situated just a couple of miles south of Bourton-on-the-Water and there are plenty of good walks in the area with beautiful views.
