The Cotswolds

Lacock

Lacock is situated just off of the A350 a few of miles south of Chippenham. Although not officially part of the Cotswolds it is close enough, and with its beautiful Stone Cottages and picturesque views it is considered by many as the southernmost point. The centre of the village has not changed over the last two hundred years and most of the houses and buildings belong to The National Trust. There are a wealth of places to visit including Lacock Abbey, The Fox Talbot Museum of Photography and many wonderful old shops and pubs. The whole of the village is well maintained by the National Trust and your visit to the village helps them with the upkeep of what is a remarkable step back in history.
